CYBERVOID is an EP I have published in 2024, being my first "concept" project.
The idea behind it was to create a musical experience that explored the concept of void fused with the concept of cybernetics.
Different form of insipiration came from games and themes, including title as Ghostrunner and Cyberpunk 2077 and ideas such as transhumanism and the concept of unknown.
The EP is a complete journey that will make you explore a variety of enviroments through instruments and sounds, exposing the concepts of future, void and electronic.
The first song of the EP is called "Hyperload Stream".
I have created this track with the concept in mind of creating an introduction.
Everyone listening to CYBERVOID will begin their journey through the concept of a lost temple that has a deep connection to the tech world, showing a decaying world that used to feature technology.
Once you are inside the temple, you will hear the sounds that will guide you into the void.
On a technical side, the song features melodic synths and violins creating a melody that has to make the listener both intrigued and uneasy, starting to drive them into this imaginary world made of nothing.
Consequently, horns are then introduced to announce the void reaching for the listener, and that is how they move to the next song, after a climax that brings silence and emptiness.
"There it was, the lost temple, falling apart, covered in vines. The inside looks... empty"
Then we have "Error_Undefined", second track of the EP.
Going on with the journey, the listener will adventure through the void, facing the unknown and all that is connected to it: the feeling of not being able to determine where you are, not being able to understand your surroundings, feeling completely lost and alone.
In addition, the cyber theme comes in, making the listener think about an error that has caused the system to fail, expanding the surrounding unknown.
The idea of unknown is suggested through the bells that create the main melody of the song.
The crisp bassline, instead, provides a sense of danger, combined in the climax that escalate the feeling of fear and loneliness, while a greater danger is getting closer.
"Something is wrong and you can feel it... there must be an error in the system, but I can't understand..."
The listener is now facing the danger. Something that is still hard to define, but has an unexpected strength.
The only thing that they can feel is the tremendous energy coming from the source of the danger.
Something is suggesting a weird thought to the listener's mind.
Overcharged is the 3rd track of the EP and it is a song that I have previously released as single.
The song focuses on the usage of basses and synths in order to create a sense of unbearable power, emphasized by the drums and the leads.
"I felt it... a strange power, something I have never felt before. Then, a voice. Something about leaving this weak body and ascend to something new, something powerful, but I didn't listen."
The danger has been exceeded and the listener is now closer to understanding what is happening.
Suddenly, a door. The truth is behind that door, but as it is the void, the listener's questions will never be answered as their mind is unable to comprehend what lies behind the door.
Access Denied is the 4th and last track of the EP. Full of strong and impactful basses, the song wants to create a barrier for the listener, increased by the dark synths representing something that they won't be able to discover, living forever with doubts and questions that will never get an asnwer.
"It stood in front of me, but I couldn't do anything but stare at it..."
