Credits song for my death music trilogy
Born from vivivivivi's "credits song for my death" and Astron's "credits song for my death but im the final boss.", I wanted to contribute to this trend, creating my own version of the song, that's how "credits song for my death but i can't let you win" was born.
With the main intent of creating a strong storytelling, I have spent a great amount of time thinking about the right instruments, BPM and genre to fully represent the idea I had on my mind.
After some thinking, I decided to create a track that could be similar to the initial one, using electronic and chiptune sounds.
Compared to the original, I've opted for a fast lead progression with repetitions of scales that could emphasize the intensity of the story narrated.

In our case, an entity (the protagonist) wants to stop you, viewer.
The last part of the title "but i can't let you win" has the purpose of increasing the pressure on the idea of someone who is going to give all of them to defeat their opponent, showing their determination.

The story ends, but we don't know what happened precisely.
The narrative now shifts to a battle.
Two entities have been fighting and all around them is collapsing.
"How could I represent that battle?". To answer this question, I listened again to the other versions of the original "credits song for my death" until I decided to create a rock track that could represent this specific battle, where the two opponents have the same strength and abilities.

Slower in BPM with different sounds and less punchy kicks compared to the previous one, "background song for our battle" keeps on with the narration of the story, moving to a restless battle.
Impactful and catchy guitars guide the flow of the song creating a meaningful sense of strength, emphasizing the abilities of the two characters that are fighting.

This battle will be remembered for the eternity.
This is where everything ends, the final battle between the two entities, projected in the future.
This time, the track is a fusion between rock and electro, the perfect way to represent this fight, being the last one.
More secondary and supportive melodies were added to create the right ambience music to guide the main melody through crisp snares and oppressive bass sounds that resemble the danger of the upcoming and last battle.
Nothing is certain and the end leaves everyone with no answers, as their battle will continue, endlessly.
"Credits song for my death but this is th end" is the finish line for this trilogy, which was my first approach to the actual music production world.
I have increased my skills way more since the release of these projects but they represent an important part of my journey as this is the starting point that allowed me to grow enough confidence to keep going without ever giving up.
There is still a lot more to do, but I can't wait to find out where this path will take me.
